Tekapo Bus is a daily scheduled bus service between Lake Tekapo and Christchurch Airport.

The bus departs Lake Tekapo at 9:15am and Christchurch International Airport at 2:15pm every day, with pickup and drop off stops at Fairlie, Geraldine, Ashburton and Hornby along the way. At $89 per adult each way, Tekapo Bus is the most direct and affordable way to travel between Christchurch and Lake Tekapo without a rental car.

The service picks up and drops off at Christchurch Airport, making it ideal for international visitors arriving into or leaving New Zealand’s South Island. Tekapo Bus also offers private hire transfers between Christchurch, Tekapo and Queenstown for groups of up to 10 in a smaller luxury vehicle.
